Raummaschine
Documentation of the »Raummaschine — a kinetic and experimental installation presented at the Gropius Bau in Berlin — which took space and movement as starting points for exploring the relation between body and architecture. 384 motor-driven vertically hanging ball-chains created changing spatial compositions, with visitors able to alter the space simply by moving their finger on a touchpad.«

»Dance performances with professional dancer Kristina Veit focused on direct interaction with the Raummaschine — the aim of the cooperation was to explore the spatial experience, physical perception and possibilities of body-machine interaction.«

The images are included in the book »Raummaschine — Exploring Manifold Spaces« which describes the design project and introduces the theoretical discussions that went along with it.
